This 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup-truck was struck by an eastbound semi-truck on U.S. Hwy. 2 near Minot, forcing a rollover into the ditch Wednesday afternoon. The truck had been reported stolen from Stanley on May 9 and was spotted when a Minot Police Officer ran the plates and attempted to stop the vehicle in southeast Minot. The driver, Donald Hopkins Jr., 19, with no fixed address, fled the scene leading to a short pursuit that ended when he attempted to pull onto eastbound U.S. Hwy. 2 from U.S. Hwy. 83. Hopkins was ejected from the vehicle along with a 21-year-old female passenger and two juveniles in the back seat of the vehicle. All four were transported to Minot’s Trinity Hospital. Charges are pending further investigation.
