Minot State University baseball coach Brock Weppler announced the signing of three recruits Monday, including one North Dakota West Region product.
Dickinson High School first baseman James Kary will join the Beavers this fall.
"James is a strong kid with a nice swing," Weppler said in a press release. "We will continue to work on his swing and we think he can be a good asset to the program in the future. It's nice to get a player out of Dickinson as they have always had a rich tradition of baseball there."
The Beavers also signed Jamestown College transfer Keith Ailes - a speedy, lefthanded-hitting outfielder - and Williston State transfer Conner Oliver.
Oliver was named to the Mon-Dak all-conference team in both of his seasons with the Tetons, finishing with 98 strikeouts in 70.1 innings. He also batted above .300 at WSC.
"Conner is a high-energy player that we think will instantly become a leader on the team next season," Weppler said. "He has a chance to be a two-way player for us in the outfield and on the mound. In the outfield he covers a ton of ground and has a live arm. Conner is getting better and better on the mound and has very good stuff. We look for him to add some quality innings to our pitching staff next season."
