Bonnie (Haugen) Patterson, 79, Minot, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at her sister's home near Glenburn.
Bonnie Lee Haugen was born April 1, 1934, a daughter of Harold O. and Catharine E. (Groniger) Haugen in Des Lacs. She attended Des Lacs High School, graduating in 1952. She attended United Methodist Church of Des Lacs. Following her graduation, Bonnie worked at Trinity Health in the dietary department.
On Jan. 10, 1970, Bonnie was united in marriage to Clayton Patterson at the Carpio Lutheran Church. They made their home on a farm near Donnybrook, while there; she went to work at the Kenmare Nursing Home. Later they bought a house in Minot, and she worked at Trinity Central Supply.
Bonnie was a compassionate caretaker for her mother, mother-in-law and a couple of sisters. She was a wonderful wife and aunt, caring for her nieces and nephews as though they were her own children.
Bonnie is survived by: Husband of 43 years, Clayton Patterson, Minot; sister, Ruth (Ralph) Detlaff, Glenburn; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jean Haugen, Faye Haugen, Joyce Fjeldahl, Gloria Cox, Anna Rademacher, Ida Haugen; and brothers, Harold Haugen, Robert Haugen and Gary Haugen.
Funeral service: Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at New Life Lutheran Church, Minot, located at 710-46th Ave. NE.
Burial: Friday at 1 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Today, April 11, from 1 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. The family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home today from 6 to 7 p.m.
