Rodney A. Keller, age 51, of Savage, Minn., passed away March 24, 2013, in Burnsville, Minn.
Rod was born in Minot, where he spent his childhood. He graduated from Bishop Ryan High School and earned a degree in accounting at Minot State College. After graduation he worked for Nash Finch and moved to Liberal, Kan., where he met his beloved wife, Betty.
After marriage they moved to Fargo, N.D., where his children were born. The family then moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where Rod continued to work at Nash Finch corporate office his entire career. He enjoyed his job and was well respected by his colleagues.
Rod was a family man. His wife and children were the joy of his life and he was very proud of them. Weekends were spent with family and friends; enjoying grilling, cooking, bike rides, and joking around.
Rod had a passion for music and passed that love to his son, Tyler. They went to many rock concerts together and at last count those concerts totaled over 30. He also enjoyed his monthly poker game with all his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Keller Jr.
He is survived by: his wife, Betty; children, Caitlyn and Tyler; siblings, Deb (Tim) DeWeese, Randy (Deb), and Shelly (Rob) Kondos; mother, Helen; also by other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. today, March 28, 2013, at Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie, Minn. Visitation will be today, one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m.
