SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Sioux Falls Christian High School will host a dodgeball tournament next month to raise money for a former student whose family was killed in a car accident.
Northwestern College sophomore Brittany Vollmer lost her parents and two siblings, 13 and 16, in a February traffic accident on Interstate 90. She's a 2011 graduate of the high school.
Her parents, Jim and Julie Vollmer, were both North Dakota natives.
The Argus Leader reports that the tournament will be held April 8 at 6 p.m. in the school gym for high school and college students, parents, faculty and board members. Teams will have eight members with substitutes allowed. The team fee is $20 and spectators will pay $2.
Registration is due April 5.
