The smell of smoke still lingers in the air around a house in southwest Minot Saturday afternoon after a fire that occurred early that morning around 2:40 a.m. The house was fully involved when the Minot Fire Department arrived, but the fire did not spread to other homes. Two adult male residents had been sleeping when the fire broke out, but they escaped without injury.
