Two community benefits and a special offering are planned this month by First Lutheran Church, of Minot, to raise money for the ELCA Malaria Campaign to raise both money and awareness for malaria.
Pizza Ranch will host a community impact fundraising event on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. Patrons should let the cashier know that they're there for malaria and a percentage of their bill will be donated to the First Lutheran Church event.
Qdoba Mexican Grill will support the elimination of malaria by hosting percentage days on March 18 and March 19 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Customers will need to show a coupon available at the church office or other places in the community. Diners may also show the event posting on Qdoba facebook page on their phones.
The children of First Lutheran Church will hold a net project, and a special Sunday of singing, stories and a "Noisy Offering" with tin cans and change on March 17.
