Ronald Squibb, 54, Minot, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in a Minot hospital.

Ronald Gene Squibb was born Dec. 16, 1958, in Lawton, Okla., a son of Robert and Bonnie (Potter) Squibb. He was raised and educated in Lawton, where he graduated from high school in 1978. On Feb. 2, 1979, Ron enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed at Minot Air Force Base until his honorable discharge.

He married Deborah Monington on Dec. 20, 1983, in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where Ron worked as a contractor. Deborah died June 3, 2010.

Ron loved shooting pool, playing in tournaments and was active with On The Rocks pool league. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson Heritage Softtail, and spending time with his two grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Papa Roni."

Ronald is survived by: Children, Jenifer (Benjamin) Valdez, Minot, Stephanie (Brendon) Walker, Minot, Melissa Squibb, Minot, and Ryan Frost, Tacoma, Wash.; two grandchildren, Grace and Ryan; mother, Bonnie Pierson, West Allis, Wis.; brother, Robert Redding, Lawton, Okla.; sisters, Shirley Flannigan, Bakersfield, Calif., Karen Krumnow, West Allis, Wis., Linda Arrington, Union Grove, Wis.; girlfriend Heidi Helseth, Minot; and a very good friend, Mike Vannett, Minot. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father; wife; and a brother, David.

Memorial service: Saturday, March 2, 2013, 2 p.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot

Burial: At a later date at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, people may sign a guest register on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
