DATE SET FOR RUMMAGE AND BAKE SALE ?Vincent United Methodist Women will hold a rummage and bake sale on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church at 1024-2nd St. SE, Minot.
A lunch of soup and sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m. until gone and sweet treats will be available all day. Bag bargains will be from 1 to 2 p.m.
A bake sale will be held in conjunction with the rummage sale.
Customers are asked to use the south entrance to the church.
LENTEN RETREAT PLANNED Monsignor James Shea, president of University of Mary, Bismarck, will lead a Lenten retreat titled "Joy and Hope, Living Vatican II Today" on March 9 in Our Lady of Grace Church, 707-16th Ave. SW. The retreat will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A light breakfast and lunch will be served. Childcare will be available.

PORTION OF YOGURT SALES TO HELP MALARIA CAMPAIGN First Lutheran Church, Minot, will host a benefit day to raise funds for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Malaria Campaign on Monday. A portion of the day's sales at Tutti Frutti stores in Minot will go toward the campaign.
Malaria is a leading cause of death in Africa. Hours at the north Tutti Frutti store will be from 1 to 10 p.m. and at the south Tutti Fruitti store will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
LUTEFISK, MEATBALL DINNER PLANNED IN WILLISTON Tickets are available in the office of First Lutheran Church, Williston, Monday through Friday for the 80th annual lutefisk and meatball dinner on Feb. 23 in the church. Dinner hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until out of food. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the dinner.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $8 for students through junior high school and $2 for preschoolers.
There will be delivery service until 3 p.m. and take-out service from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To arrange for delivery or take-out service, call the church at 572-6363 the day of the dinner.
DATE SET FOR ELCA GLOBAL GATHERING EVENT IN BISMARCK The Western ND Synod-ELCA will partner with ELCA Global Mission to sponsor a Global Gathering in Bismarck at Faith Lutheran Church on Feb. 22-23.
A limited number of global events, which focus on equipping members of congregations for mission and ministry, are held each year. Participants will engage in worship, plenary sessions and one of several workshops geared at providing practical training that they can take back and put to work in their local congregations. Workshops at this event will focus on global mission, local mission, music ministry, ministry with young adults, mentoring youth and creating a culture of thriving faith, among other topics.
Keynote speakers will be Pastor David Vasquez, a campus pastor at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and Dr. Carl Stecker, director for Global Diakonia in the Global Mission unit of the ELCA.
Vasquez's presentation will be speaking on connections between issues of immigration and local implications for ministry and activity in the oil patch.
Cost for the event is $35 per person, which includes meals. They can register at (www.elca.org/global) or at the door the day of the event.
