FEMA has sudden policy changes. I had qualified to buy the trailer I'm in since it's handicapped accessible and I couldn't find a place to live in my income range. I was told June 30 was the time they needed to have the trailer moved. Suddenly I was served eviction papers unless I paid rent of 30 percent of my income. I hurried around to find the required papers that kept getting lost from my FEMA file. I asked my worker to make sure no more problems would happen. It's darn cold outside for me wheeling around trying to get last minute papers. I was told everything was fine. Then I was told my rent was 60 percent of my income and that I'd have to move out, giving up all rights to my trailer in March to a site that closes on June 24.
