WATFORD CITY (AP) - A pileup involving two semitrailers and two pickup trucks led to a two-hour shutdown of a major highway in the western North Dakota oil patch.
The Highway Patrol says the four vehicles all were traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 85 west of Watford City about mid-day Sunday. The chain-reaction crash began when the driver of one of the pickups stopped in the roadway because of icy conditions.
The driver of the pickup that stopped was taken to a Watford City hospital with undisclosed injuries. None of the other drivers was injured.
