Six Beavers take first in UW-S Border Battle

The Minot State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams placed first in six events at Saturday's University of Wisconsin Superior Border Battle.

Bottineau native Abby Aide won for the women's pole vault and Kirk Capdeville captured the men's crown. MSU won the women's 4x200 meter relay and Joel Cartwright won the men's 5,000.

Farai Madungwe, a Zimbabwe native, won the 200-meter dash and Watford City's Tyler Flatland won the 200-meter hurdles.

The Beavers will participate in the North Dakota State University Bison Open in Fargo on Saturday.
