Nicole McElwain and Shawn Fritel, both from Max, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Their parents are John and Tammy McElwain, of Max, and Ken Fritel and Kim Janssen, of Minot.
She graduated from Max Public School in 2006 and graduated from Minot State University in 2012 and earned her bachelor's degree in developmental disabilities and her associate's degree in early childhood. She works at Longfellow Elementary School in Minot.
He graduated in 2006 from Minot High School and graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton in 2008, where he completed the electrical technology program. He works in the Minot area for Triangle Electric, of Williston.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 6, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Max. No invitations are required to attend the reception at 7 p.m. and dance at 8 p.m. in the Max Hall.
