Minot Daily News

DICKINSON (AP) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined a company $14,700 in connection with the death last August of a Dickinson man at an oil well site near Killdeer.

OSHA says 52-year-old Terry Metcalf died after falling about 50 feet. His mother, Barbara Allen, tells The Dickinson Press that Metcalf had worked for Big Sky Well Service for a dozen years.

Company officials have requested a conference with OSHA to discuss the alleged infractions. The conference is set for Feb. 1.
