Elaine J. Erickson, 69, Minot, formerly of Garrison, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, in a Minot hospital.
Elaine Jane Partyka was born April 19, 1943, a daughter of Jack and Lydia (Hofer) Partyka, in Wilton. She was raised and educated in Garrison, where she graduated from Garrison High School.
She was once married to Donald Erickson.
Elaine worked as a waitress for several businesses in Garrison and when she moved to Minot, worked at Gladys Place. She enjoyed visiting with her customers.
In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, and more recently watching the Minnesota Twins play. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by: two daughters, Dawn (companion, Stacy Zietz) Erickson, Burlington, Lindsey Erickson, Minot; four grandchildren, Dillon, Katie, Hannah and Jaxon; one brother, Don Partyka, Billings, Mont.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley, and her husband, Darrell Keys; and a sister-in-law, Donna Partyka.
Memorial service: Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m., in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Burial: Will be held privately at a later date.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign a guest register on Monday, from 9 a.m. until service time, at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
