Lois A. Gotvaslee, 82, Voltaire, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in her daughter's home in Voltaire.
Lois Arlene Rollman was born Feb. 28, 1930, the daughter of Clarence L. and Lucy J. (Peck) Rollman, in Minot. She was raised and educated in Granville, graduating from Granville High School in 1948. She then attended Minot State Teachers College, where she received her standard teaching certificate. She taught school in Eckman for five months and then moved to Washington.
Lois married Kenneth Osborn Jan. 3, 1951, in Tacoma, Wash. They made their home in Ashford, Wash. From this union, two sons, Richard and William, and a daughter, Colleen, were born. They were later divorced.
In August of 1962, she moved back to Granville. She married Leonard Gotvaslee April 11, 1963, in Minot. They made their home in Granville. From this union, two daughters, LuAnn and Karla, were born. In 1981, she moved to Washington. They were later divorced.
In June of 1996, she moved to Minot, and in July of 2010, she moved to Voltaire.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Granville.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking, crocheting, bowling, playing cards and board games, and bird watching.
Surviving family includes: son, William (Connie Jo) Osborn, Voltaire; daughters, Colleen Kraft, Voltaire, LuAnn (Domingo, Jr.) Juarez, Granville, and Karla (Steve) James, Yuma, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon Rollman, Granville, Harry (Jean) Rollman, Minot, Donald (Cleone) Rollman, Granville, and Robert (Helen) Rollman, Granville; sister-in-law, Sharon Rollman, Minot; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Osborn; brothers, Raymond, LeRoy, Ralph and Richard Rollman; sisters, Marion Finke and Margaret Snapp; and sister-in-law, Edna Rollman.
Cremation has taken place.
At Lois' request, there will be no formal services.
Interment: Will take place in the spring of 2013 at Granville Community Cemetery, Granville.
