He was born June 12, 1922, to Hans and Geoline Berthinussen, in Sortland, Norway. He married Ione Anderson on Dec. 12, 1964, in Williston.
Survivors: son, Bjarne, in Norway.
Funeral: Thursday, 2 p.m., Bethel Lutheran Home Chapel, Williston.
Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Williston.
Visitation: Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Everson Funeral Home, Williston, and Thursday, one hour prior to the service, in the nursing home.
