University of North Dakota linemates Carter Rowney and Rocco Grimaldi were honored by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association for their roles in a win and a tie last weekend against No. 6 Denver.
Rowney scored five points, including a career-high four in Saturday's 6-3 win, to earn the WCHA offensive player of the week award.
Grimaldi, who was given the WCHA co-rookie of the week award, also tallied four points (one goal, three assists) on Saturday.
UND (8-5-3 overall, 5-2-3 WCHA) closes out the first half of the season Friday and Saturday at Michigan Tech (4-8-3, 3-6-3).
