The second annual Anamoose Christmas Home Tour will be held Sunday, Dec. 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. Five homes are included in the event, sponsored by MainStreams LLC, which is working to preserve the town's historic bank.
The Angeline and Emanuel Kesler home was built in 1947 with concrete blocks and originally covered with stucco. It includes a round corner in the living room made from glass blocks. Angeline has an angel collection, and Emanuel has a garage with several vintage cars that he restored.
Across the street from the Kesler home is Doc's Lodge, the family home of the late Gus and Julie Dockter, built during the 1940s. The family has renovated the home and rents it as a hunter's lodge. It is decorated with holiday lights, with a quirky moose in the front yard.
