Eileen Nett, 88, Minot, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in a Minot nursing home.
Eileen Theusch was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Kenmare, to Gerhard and Odilia (Schumacher) Theusch. She was raised in Kenmare and graduated from Kenmare High School.
Eileen married Paul Nett on Nov. 27, 1945, in Tolley. Following their marriage they owned and operated the Tolley Bar for 12 years. In 1957 they moved to Minot, where they owned and operated the Courtesy Court Motel, and rented out the bar in Tolley. They retired in 1977 and enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona in the winter months, and in the summer months staying at their lake cabin on Lake Sakakawea. Paul passed away on Aug. 18, 2007. Eileen later moved into Trinity Homes in Minot, where she since had lived.
Eileen was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Eileen loved sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was a great cook and enjoyed gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those who shared in her life: children, Janice (Doug) Picotte, Lake Sakakawea, Sharon (Steve) Olson, Muskego, Wis., Rodney (Michelle) Nett, of Thompson, Linda (Brian) Adams, Lake Metigoshe, and Myrna (Greg) Bartsch, Minot; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Johnston, Angie (Pat) Lavachek, Wade Picotte, Cory (Kristin) Olson, Chad (Jamie) Olson, Amy (Steve) Quern, Sarah (Jeff) Neall, Kevin (Michelle) Nett, Jennifer (Corey) Erickson, Shannon (Brad) Moberg, Austin Adams and Brandon (Amy) Bartsch, Ashley Bartsch, Alysha (Chris) Keyes and Dustin Bartsch; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Caufield, Sun City, Ariz. and Ellen Johnson, Garrison. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Eileen was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul; great-grandson, Zachary Quern; her parents; brothers, Julian, Marvin and Donald Theusch; sisters, Agatha Nett, Selina Wirtz and Luella Alexander.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Vigil prayer service: Sunday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m., in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 2, from noon to 3 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and continuing Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
