Minot State University had 21 athletes named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference all-academic team for the fall athletic season released Monday.
Three MSU players each from the men's cross country and volleyball teams were selected, as well as four from the women's cross country and soccer teams and seven from the football program.
Of the 21 Beavers selected, nine were sophomores, four were juniors and eight were seniors.
In order to be eligible for the distinction, an athlete must be a member of the varsity team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Athletes must be at least true sophomores and have completed at least one full academic year.
