BOTTINEAU Hazel Haakenson, 89, Bottineau, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in a Bottineau nursing home.
She was born on May 6, 1923, to Martin and Hilma Dahl, in Polk County, Minn. She married Harold Amsbaugh on Dec. 2, 1941, in Bottineau. He died on Aug. 26, 1966. She married Norman Haakenson on June 10, 1974, in Westhope.
Survivors: daughter, Harriet Nickelson, Bottineau; sons, Terry Amsbaugh, Minot, and Dale Amsbaugh, Fargo; sister, Estelle Jelleberg, Bottineau; brother, Duane Dahl, of Texas.
Funeral: Oak Creek Cemetery, Bottineau.
Visitation: Sunday, 1 to 9 p.m., Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau.
