Heather Lautt, Minot, and Pete Bastian, Valley Center, Kan., announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Their parents are Art and Judy Lautt, Minot, and Dennis and Tricia Bastian, Kansas City, Kan.
She graduated from Minot High School in 1997 and from the University of Kansas School of Nursing's nurse practitioner program in Kansas City, Kan. She works as a nurse practitioner at Trinity Health-Kenmare Community Clinic.
He graduated from Bishop Miege High School in Kansas City, Kan., and received his master of arts degree in school leadership from Baker University, Baldwin City, Kan. He is employed as principal of West Elementary School in Valley Center, Kan.
They plan a private ceremony Dec. 22 at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston, Kan.
