DEVILS LAKE John Burke, 89, Devils Lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in a Devils Lake hospital.
He was born April 29, 1923, to Edmund and Nelle Burke, west of Edmore. He enlisted in the Army in 1946 and served stateside and also served one year in Korea. He was discharged as a corporal Oct. 22, 1951. He married Lavern Olson.
Survivors: wife; sons, Dr. Larry, Williston, John, Grand Forks; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren;
