Moving snow at fairgrounds

Saturday afternoon. As of 8 a.m. Saturday, the North Central Research and Extension Center south of Minot had 4.2 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. Jim Tarasenko, research specialist at the center who records the weather data each day at 8 a.m., said the moisture in the snow was 0.45 of an inch. The National Weather Service said from 8 to 18 inches of snow fell at various points in northwest North Dakota through Saturday.
