Eloise Ogden/MDN • Fresh snow covers these brightly-colored rose hips on a bush in northwest Minot Saturday. Jim Tarasenko, research specialist at the North Central Research and Extension Center, south of Minot, said that Saturday at 8 a.m. he recorded 2.6 inches of snowfall there in the past 24 hours. The moisture in the snow was 0.26 of an inch.
