James White, Minot
Rick Berg has never been good for the northwest corridor of North Dakota. He voted against the new state fair grandstand twice and also against the 55th street overpass. Then he had the gall to show up for the dedication as if he had something to do with it.
I have heard that Rick was a spokesman for Goldmart (a real estate company in the eastern part of the state) and actively tried to loosen fire safety regulations in order to bolster his own financial interests.
Many letters to the editor and Senator Hoeven's commercial have made reference to Rick's integrity. Webster defines 'integrity' as a state of being, rigid to code, honesty and pure of heart. In my mind I'm having difficulty in finding a correlation between Rick Berg and any of these qualities. Senator Hoeven obviously believes that repeating a statement long enough and often enough will cause people to believe it. Senator, do you actually believe your own statement?
Rick has also voted against increases to minimum wage and is an advocate for privatizing social security. Minimum wage earners cannot possibly afford privatization of social security.
Karl Rove and Superpac have declared North Dakota as a political target for Republican dominance. Hopefully this won't happen to our fine state.
I'm Jim White and I approve this message!!
