Blue Jays shut out Killdeer
STANLEY - The Stanley-Powers Lake football team continued its reign of dominance Saturday with a 34-0 win against Killdeer in the Class A quarterfinals.
The Blue Jays (10-0) scored 20 points in the second quarter. Kale Enget scored on a 34-yard-run and Abe Roehrich was on the other end of a Sam Footh 50-yard pass. The two touchdowns were sandwiched between two Chase Ladwig field goals.
Footh finished with 209 yards passing and two touchdowns.
S-PL plays at Hazen at 1:30 on Saturday.

Hazen moves on
HAZEN - Hazen led by four scores at halftime and didn't look back in its 41-14 Class A quarterfinal win over Heart River on Saturday.
The Bison (8-2) got touchdowns from four different players in the victory and Brian Bornemann and Nate Leintz each found the end zone twice.
Hazen hosts undefeated Stanley-Powers Lake at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

TGU thumps Surrey
TOWNER - A Tayler Wallstrum two-yard touchdown run was the only scoring Surrey (7-3) could muster in its 40-6 loss to TGU in the 9-man state quarterfinals.
TGU sophomore quarterback Eli Luna threw a touchdown pass and ran for another in the Titans' win. Ridge Bachmeier caught a touchdown pass and ran for two scores.
TGU (10-0) also scored on Ethan Bachmeier's 55-yard punt return.
The Titans play Divide County at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crosby.

New Rockford-Sheyenne holds on
NEW ROCKFORD - New Rockford-Sheyenne was challenged for a second week in a row but hung on for a 22-13 win over Lakota-Adams-Edmore in the 9-man state quarterfinals on Saturday.
The Rockets (10-0) took a 14-0 lead into the fourth quarter thanks to a 56-yard Ethan Haley touchdown run and an Alex Perleberg 45-yard scoring reception.
Perleberg scored another touchdown in the fourth to help NR-S hold on.
The Rockets host Cavalier at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Second-half surge lifts Beulah
BEULAH - After trailing 21-14 at halftime, Beulah scored three times in the second half and held Wahpeton scoreless in a 36-21 victory in the first round of the Class AA playoffs.
Beulah running back Cody Nelson rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on six carries and caught six passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.
The Miners' defense forced two turnovers and held Wahpeton without a pass completion.
Beulah quarterback Trevor Zacher completed 12-of-19 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
The Miners play at Fargo Shanley on Saturday in the Class AA semifinals.
