Kathleen Ennis, 93, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
She was born July 22, 1919, in Faribault, Minn., to Joseph and Jennie Duhamel. When she was 3 years old in 1922, she came with her parents to Donnybrook, N.D., where she attended grade school and high school.
She met her husband, Richard, in high school and they were married Sept. 12, 1942, in Tacoma, Wash., After they were married, Richard spent three years in the Armed Services during World War II. They moved to Minot, N.D. They had two children; a son, Richard J. Ennis; and a daughter, Pamela Ennis.
Kathleen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for over 55 years. Kathleen loved her church and her church family.
Kathleen is survived by: her husband of 70 years, Richard; son, Richard J. Ennis (Cathy); daughter, Pamela Ennis; granddaughter, Michelle Ennis; grandson, Ricky Ennis; great-grandson, Gavin Ennis, all of Boise, Idaho.
The greatest gift we ever had came from God. We called her Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jennie Duhamel; and her sister, Ardell Mahne.
Funeral services: Will be held Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Boise, Idaho.
Burial: Will be in the Prayer Garden at Sacred Heart Church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul; or charities of the donor's choice.
Funeral services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Boise, Idaho.
