Darrel Arnold Erber, 66, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 3, 1946, in Minot, and had lived in Cheyenne for the past four years with prior residence in Littleton, Colo. He attended Glenburn High School in Glenburn with the Class of 1965.
Darrel served in the Army during Vietnam.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors, whether he was in his backyard or out hunting.
He is survived by: his wife, Joyce Erber, of Cheyenne; son, Jeff Erber, of Littleton, Colo.; daughter, Tina Malloy, of Englewood, Colo.; two stepsons, Scott Jones, of Lafayette, La., and Jeff Jones, of Aurora, Colo.; parents, Arnold and Jane Erber, of Glenburn; brother, Dennis Erber, of Glenburn; two sisters, Katherine Krienke, of Lester Prairie, Minn., Carol Matthews, of Centerview, Mo.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, Cheyenne.
Services: Will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry St., Castle Rock, Colo.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
