Charles "Chuck" Sundquist, formerly of Binford and Max, passed away Sept. 28, 2012, in Storrs, Conn., after battling with cancer.
Chuck was born Aug. 8, 1961 in McVille, to Doris (Zabel) and Wallace F. Sundquist. He grew up and graduated from high school in Binford. Chuck received his bachelor's degree from Valley City State College in North Dakota and attended grad school at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and the University of Connecticut in Storrs. He taught high school English in Max.
He spent the last 15 years working for Residential Life at UConn, and was much loved by students and staff.
The great pride and joy of his life was: his son, Zachary, and his daughter, Madison, both of Storrs, Conn. Along with his children, he is survived by his brother and sisters, Mary (Jerry) Bristol, of Bondurant, Iowa, Jeanine (Mike) Barclay and Mike Sundquist, both of Fargo, Denise (Wayne) Tenneson, of Halstad, Minn.; and by the mother of his children, Sally Neal, of Coventry, Conn.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Sundquist, of Binford.
A memorial service will be held: At Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, on Oct. 20, at 10:30 a.m.
