ROAST PORK SUPPER PLANNED IN BOTTINEAU A roast pork supper will be served in United Parish Church, Bottineau, Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The cost will be $8 for adults, $5 for college students and $4 for students in grades 1 to 12. Preschoolers will not be charged. There will be a family maximum cost of $30. Take-out meals will be $8.50. Meal deliveries will be available by calling 228-2800. There will be no out-of-town deliveries.

A silent auction and youth bake sale will be held in conjunction with the event.

BREAD OF LIFE YOUTH TO SERVE TURKEY DINNER The Minot Bread of Life youth turkey dinner will be Oct. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church at 1415-17th Ave. SW.

Cost of the dinner will be $9 for adults and $6 for youth ages 6 to 12. There will be no charge for children age 5 and under. A family price of $25 for two adults and their children will be available.

The Bread of Life Women will hold a bake sale in conjunction with the dinner.

HEIDT TO BE GUEST SPEAKER AT RETREAT IN MINOT The Rev. Charles Heidt will be the guest speaker for a retreat Oct. 28 in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 707-16th Ave. SW. The focus of his retreat will be about how "We are made in the image and likeness of God."

There will be three talks: "God is Love and So Are We," "We Are One," and "We Are Made For Relationship With God and Others."

Heidt formerly served as pastor at Our Lady of Grace Church. He is now retired and lives in the Minot area.

The retreat will begin with a potluck lunch at 11:30 a.m. People are asked to bring a dish to share. Talks will begin at 12:45 p.m. and conclude by 5 p.m.

Childcare will be available.

To register, or if you need childcare, call the parish office at 839-6834 no later than Tuesday.

DATE SET FOR VINCENT UNITED METHODIST ANNUAL FALL BAZAAR The annual fall bazaar at Vincent United Methodist Church, 1024-2nd St. SE, will be Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pastries and coffee will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. Creamed turkey on biscuits will be served, starting at 11 a.m.

A silent auction will be held, with close of bidding at 1 p.m.

The bazaar will be held in the Fellowship Hall on the south side of the church, which is handicapped accessible.

FIRST BAPTIST XYZ TO MEET THURSDAY ?First Baptist Church XYZ, a senior adult ministry for people in the 50-plus age group, will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 200-3rd St. SW.

Jocelyn Klingbeil Rodgers, of Minot, a former Burning Hills singer for the Medora Musical, will present a musical program.

Refreshments will be served.

ANNUAL BAZAAR SCHEDULED AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH The annual bazaar at Zion Lutheran Church, 1800 Hiawatha St., will be Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Soup and breads will be served starting at noon, with muffins, pie, juice and coffee available all day.

Baked goods, specialty items like lefse, flat bread and apple pies will be available for sale. Decorating items, lights, dishes and afghans will be available for sale in the "Holiday Room" and clothing plus rummage items will be sold in the "Big Room." A bag sale will be from 1 to 2 p.m.

Raffle tickets will be sold for a quilt and two wall hangings. The drawing will be at 2 p.m.

MUSIC WITH A MISSION EVENT TO BE HELD IN MINOT Nick Hall, founder and lead communicator for the PULSE movement, will be the guest speaker during the Music with a Mission event Friday in the Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University.

The event, which will be held from 7 to 11 p.m., will also feature bands, including Family Focus 5, Da' T.R.U.T.H. and Willet and Disciple.

Music with a Mission has partnered with CURE to save the lives of children in Uganda who are suffering from hydrocephalus, a deadly brain condition that affects nearly 400,000 newborns each year globally.

Tickets, $15 each, can be purchased at the door or online at (www.itickets.com).

DATE SET FOR DEERING CHURCH BAZAAR The annual Deering Lutheran Church bazaar will be held Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Deering Community Center.

Crafts, baked goods, produce and many other items will be available for sale. Raffle tickets will also be available for a queen-size quilt, $100 worth of gas and a box of steaks.

Chili or chicken noodle soup, sloppy Joes or egg salad sandwiches, plus pie and bars will be served for lunch.
