Kristi Lakoduk Flaten, 69, Minot, formerly of Warroad, Minn., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in a Minot hospital, surrounded by her family.
Kristi Kvam was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Minot, a daughter of Oscar and Alice (Eppley) Kvam. She was raised and educated in Minot, Towner, Plaza and Kansas City, Mo.
Kristi worked at the Surrey Public School as an aide, Little People's Learning Center, and Marvin Windows and Doors in Warrroad, Minn., for 20 years, retiring in 2008.
Kristi loved spending time with her four grandchildren. She loved gardening, listening to Elvis music, traveling and new cars.
Those who shared in her life: sons, Rich Lakoduk and Galen Lakoduk, both of Minot; daughter, Lesley (Dave) Erlandson, Valley City; four grandchildren: Tannier, Logan, Bo and Shelby; mother, Alice Kvam, Carthage, Mo.; brother, Art Christianson, of Austin, Texas; sister, Venus Beede, of Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kristi was preceded in death by her husband, Geniel Lakoduk; her father, Oscar; sisters, Amy Christianson and June Patten; and brother, Alford Christianson.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, 11 a.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal but friends may sign the guest register Saturday, Oct. 13, one hour prior to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
