Angeline "Angie" Della Hegreberg was born Oct. 23, 1916, in near Burlington, to Henry and Laura Buee and passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Merced, Calif., at the age of 95.

Angie was the second youngest of seven children and graduated from Burlington High School in 1933. In June 1934, Angie married Clifford Hegreberg and together they had three children. In addition to working on their family farm, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Minot, a community homemakers association and was a long-time 4-H leader.

Angie enjoyed outdoor activities, especially gardening. She was known for her large garden and grew a vast variety of fruits and vegetables. Her hard work and green thumb won her many awards at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. When she wasn't gardening she could be found canning, sewing, or baking.

In 1974, following the sudden death of her husband, Angie moved to Merced, Calif., to be near her daughter, Judy. In Merced, she built a wonderful community of friends through the Merced Senior Citizen Club and traveled on various trips around the world. Angie was also an avid walker and spent each morning walking her favorite four-mile loop with friends.

Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hegreberg; and son, Dennis Hegreberg.

Angie leaves behind: her son, Gerald (Lynetta) Hegreberg, of West Lafayette, Ind.; daughter, Judith (Richard) Marchini, of Merced; her grandchildren, Amie, Sara, Rick, and Laura; and great-granddaughter, Hallie.

She will be remembered as a hard-working, loving mother and grandmother.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Mercy Medical Center Foundation, 2740 M Street Merced, CA 95340.

Services: Will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street Merced, Calif., on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Merced Cemetery District.
