Lorraine Ahmann, 88, Minot, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in a Minot hospital.
Lorraine Brown was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Minot, to Charles and Agnes (Hennessy) Brown. She was raised in Minot and graduated from St. Leo's School in 1941. After graduating from high school she was employed at Woolworth's Dime Store in the office from 1942 to 1948.
On June 2, 1947, Lorraine married Alvin Ahmann at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot. In 1961 she was employed at Little Flower Catholic Church as parish secretary, and held that position until she retired in 1988. From 1992 to 1998, she went back to work for Dakota Hearing Aid Service, and did promotions in grocery stores.
Lorraine was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot. She was a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Minot, and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She also volunteered at both hospitals in Minot for many years.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; and son-in-law, Dan Jacobson.
Funeral Mass: Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Visitation: Today, Sept. 30, from noon to 3 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and from 4 to 5 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil prayer service: Today at 5 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
