The Minot Minotauros surrendered three unanswered goals to lose to the Fresno (Calif.) Monsters, 5-4, Friday at Maysa Arena.
Monsters forward Sean Kalbak scored the clincher, his second goal of the game, with one minute, 53 seconds remaining.
After giving up the game's opening goal, the Tauros (0-6-1) scored two power play goals in the first period to take a 2-1 lead. Forward Tim Donohue scored the first one 6:38 into the game and former Minot High School standout Mason Morelli added another one eight minutes later.

Fresno (4-3) tied the game near the end of the period, but Minot answered with second-period goals by Cody Milligan and Cameron Rowat.
The Monsters then scored three consecutive goals to earn the victory.
The two teams play again at 7:35 tonight.
