RUGBY Donald Braaten, 77, Cando, formerly of the Wolford area, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in a Cando nursing home.
He was born Dec. 8, 1934, to Elmer and Olga Braaten, in Rugby. He enlisted in the Army after high school and was discharged in 1962.
Survivors: brother, Leroy, Vancouver, Wash.; sister, Evelyn Forbes, Eagle Point, Ore.

Burial: A private burial service will be at a later date in Ox Creek Cemetery, rural Rolette.
Visitation with the family: Saturday, one hour prior to the service, in the funeral home.
