Cynthia Ann Dahl, 59, Minot, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, in a Minot hospital.
Cynthia Ann Hansen was born July 30, 1953 in Minot, to Oliver "Todd" and Eldryce (Hatley) Hansen. She was raised and educated in Deering, and graduated from Deering High School in 1971 as salutatorian of her class.
Cindy worked at the NDSU Experiment Station, and later at the Minot Housing Authority. She worked at ING in Minot until the time of her death.
On July 17, 2004, Cindy married Ronald Dahl in Minot.
They enjoyed fishing, and her favorite place to fish was McKenzie Bay on Lake Sakakawea, but they also fished in Alaska several times. Cindy felt she was an accomplished fisherman, winning many of the family fishing derbies.
Her main joy in life was her family. She enjoyed the times spent with them, and especially getting together with family on the holidays.
Those who shared in her life: husband, Ronald, Minot; daughter, Stephanie (Paul) Senn, Helena, Mont.; son, Sean Kraft, Minot; stepdaughters, Ivy (Corey) Thorson, Minot, Lisa (Adam) Moe, Mulvane, Kan., and Bonnie (Justin) Fast, Minneapolis, Minn.; eight grandchildren; mother, Eldryce Hansen, Minot; brothers, Marlin (Teri Nelson) Hansen, and Elliot (Tracie) Hansen, all of Deering; sisters, LaVonne Cameron, Deering, and Alane (Ron) Maixner, Fargo; and many nieces and nephews who were very important and special to Cindy.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Hansen; and a brother-in-law, John Cameron.
Memorial Service: Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the guestbook Thursday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
