MOHALL - Marshall Reade Sundahl, 20, Mohall, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, as a result of injuries received in a truck/train accident in Tolley.

Marshall was born June 30, 1992, in Minot, to Keven and Angela (Uhlich) Sundahl. He was raised, along with his brother and sister, on the family farm nine miles west of Mohall and was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall, and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley. He played on the football and track teams and earned many awards for his athletic ability. He had been a member of Cub Scouts, FFA and won many Science Olympiad awards. While in high school, he worked for Precision Farm Parts in Sherwood and gained many skills in farming. Marshall graduated from MLS in 2011.

Marshall farmed with his dad and was to attend Northland Community College this fall. This was the first year that Marshall farmed on his own. He began buying his own equipment, including a brand new 30-foot Macdon swather. This harvest season, he custom swathed 5,000 acres. At one point, with the auto steer on, he fell asleep and ran into a telephone pole, thus denting the reel. He thought it was ruined; he couldn't believe his dad would fix the dent in his brand-new swather by banging on it with a large hammer and field rocks. Marshall also worked for Can-Elson Oil Co. and MDM Casing.

Marshall was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley.

Marshall will be remembered as a strong, hardworking, loyal individual who wasn't afraid of anything. He had a big heart and would do anything for you. All of his life, he loved farming. He thrived on work, loved hunting and fishing, the Green Bay Packers and all sorts of sports. He loved being at Mouse River Park hanging out with his cousins and friends. He will be missed!
