ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Minot State University men's golf team sits in 10th place after the first round of the St. Cloud State Husky Invite at the St. Cloud Country Club Sunday.
The Beavers shot a collective 307, 19 shots behind leader St. Cloud State.
"We didn't shoot a terrible score, but when a team goes even par, you have to try to keep pace," MSU coach Chipper Farrell said in a press release. "That's a lot of ground to make up. (SCSU) took advantage of knowing their course and shot a great score. We will have to be much better if we want to move up the list."
MSU senior Marion Hernandez shot a 2-over-par 74 to lead the Beavers, but did so for the B team. Junior Casey Gleich and sophomore Kowan O'Keefe each had 76s to pace the A team.
The second round begins today at 8:30 a.m.
