NEW TOWN - 4 Bears Casino & Lodge, west of New Town, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of its new hotel wing Oct. 10 at 9 a.m.

4 Bears has already begun taking reservations for rooms within the new wing, according to a news release.

Earlier this year ground was broken for the expansion.

The 122-room hotel addition to the existing 4 Bears Casino & Lodge will include 100 standard rooms, 20 suites, and two executive suites with walk-out balconies, the news release said.

The new design will place an emphasis on functionality, sustainability and aesthetics, with many rooms showcasing the spectacular views of Lake Sakakawea. The executive suites are more than 1,600 square feet each with upgrades throughout.

The entire hotel project is funded entirely by the Three Affiliated Tribes, which owns and operates the casino and lodge.

Alliance Building Group, a leading national general contractor headquartered in Las Vegas, is heading the expansion.

ABG opened its North Dakota division more than two years ago with an emphasis on lean construction practices and technology that they describe as, "a perfect fit for the strained market conditions & challenging labor shortages in North Dakota."

"This unique and elegant hotel addition will better serve our customers," said General Manager Patrick Packineau, 4 Bears Casino & Lodge general manager. "We are excited about this expansion as it now allows us to accommodate more of our guests who want to come and enjoy everything that 4 Bears and the surrounding area has to offer."
