Magicians crush overmatched Dickinson
DICKINSON - The Minot High School boys tennis team lost just six games during its 9-0 win Tuesday against Dickinson.
The Magicians (9-0 overall, 5-0 West Region) routed the Coyotes in singles play, losing just four games in six matches. Each of Minot's players posted a 6-0 set.
"A good day for us against a young and inexperienced team," MHS coach Scott DeLorme said in a press release. "Nice to see us take care of things quickly and not drag out matches."
The Magicians play at Mandan at 4 p.m. Thursday. An MHS win would secure an outright first-place finish in the West Region.

Our Redeemer's sweeps DLB
BURLINGTON - Our Redeemer's Christian School made quick work of host Des Lacs-Burlington in a 3-0 volleyball victory on Tuesday.
Senior outside hitter Ashley Koppinger led the Knights with 15 kills and eighth-grader Morgan Olson had a match-high 17 assists in the 25-11, 25-13, 25-8 win.
DLB junior outside hitter Courtney Vogel led the Lakers with seven kills and eight assists.
The Knights (16-3 overall, 6-0 District 12) have won five straight matches and are tied atop the district standings with Kenmare. The straight-game victory was 12th of the season and fifth consecutive for ORCS.
ORCS hosts Bishop Ryan at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

University of Mary sweeps Beavers
BISMARCK - The Minot State University volleyball team dropped to 0-3 in conference play with a straight-game loss Tuesday to the University of Mary.
Lauren Boldt led the Marauders (2-8 overall, 2-1 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) with 13 kills in their 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 win.
MSU freshman Mallory Sall led the Beavers (3-9, 0-3) with nine kills and sophomore Emily Byrne had 22 assists.
The Beavers host Upper Iowa at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
