WILLISTON - Melvin Johnson, 77, Williston, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, in a Williston nursing home.
He was born April 17, 1935, to Anton and Laura Johnson, in Minot. He enlisted in the Navy Feb 13, 1954, and was discharged Dec. 13, 1957. He married Bonnie Benson in 1977 in Sidney, Mont.
Survivors: wife; daughters, Rhonda Johnson, Rochester, Minn., Becky Thomas, Huron, S.D., Crystal Hastings, Burlington; son, Brian, Williston; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Leonard, his twin, Alvin K. Johnson, and Bill, all Minot.
