Wayne Papke, Mandan
I just returned from the Republican National convention in Tampa. I wanted to share with you how proud we all should be of Congressman Rick Berg as he represented us in Florida, and more importantly as a member of Congress.
While in Tampa, Congressman Berg was invited to Speak before the entire convention, truly an honor. I hope you were able to hear his speech, because he made me extremely proud to be a North Dakotan. When you listen to Berg, you cannot only hear, but truly "feel" his passion for North Dakota. When you listen to him, no one could question that he clearly has North Dakota's best interests as his first priority, not some self-serving agenda.
Not speaking as a Republican, but as a North Dakotan, I encourage you to listen to the two candidates and you will clearly "feel" and hear that only one is speaking from the heart and for North Dakota interests. That person is Rick Berg. I don't get that same heartfelt feeling from his opponent. From her, I hear the same old scripted "Democrat dialogue" speech that I perceive as both shallow and truly "political."
I hope you all heard Berg's speech at the convention because if you did, you too would have "felt" his passion and conviction that he is in this for North Dakota, not the Republican or Democrat parties or himself. He truly has all of North Dakota's interests as his heartfelt agenda.
