MHS blows out Jamestown

JAMESTOWN - Minot High School sophomore Ekow Annan scored three goals and assisted on another Friday in Minot's 6-0 boys soccer win over Jamestown.

Annan was involved in all three first-half goals for MHS (4-2-1 overall, 3-2 West Region), assisting on the first and scoring the next two.

"He had a great day," MHS coach Cody Saunders said. "He's just a very smart player and he works extremely hard."

Saunders said the Magicians were able to connect on a lot of through-balls against a porous Jamestown defense. Most of MHS's goals were within the 18-yard box, he said.

The Magicians hosts Bismarck Century on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

"She is our young veteran and I would say our top swimmer on the team," MHS coach Dan Hinton said in a press release. "She is one of those athletes that I know I can count on in just about any event I put her in."

Junior Devin Scott won the 50 and 100 freestyles.
