Minot State University senior Shari Hewson was named to the all-tournament team after her performance at the Northern State University Invitational this weekend.
The 6-foot-1 senior right-side hitter tallied 34 kills in four matches as the Beavers went 1-3 to open their season.
"It shows that Shari has been able to pick up on what we are trying to do in our system," MSU coach Travis Ward said in a press release. "She showed her maturity on the court this weekend and that helped us do some good things with the ball."
The Beavers play at Valley City State University tonight at 7.
