Minot Daily News

A 34-year-old Harvey man was killed in a one-car accident five miles south of Hamberg on Sunday morning.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Jason Thomas was thrown from his vehicle and was later pronounced dead at a Harvey hospital.

According to the Patrol, Thomas was headed north on North Dakota Highway 30 at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, traveling from a farmstead to his home in Harvey, when his 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix drifted east off the road. Thomas over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle turned clockwise and entered the east ditch. It hit an approach and vaulted. The car rolled an undetermined number of times and Thomas was thrown. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
