The Minot State University volleyball team lost to Chadron State College (20-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-21) and Northern State University (25-17, 25-14, 25-12) in the Northern State Invitational on Saturday.
MSU freshman outside hitter Mallory Sall led the Beavers (1-3) with 14 kills against CSC and freshman middle hitter Tarah Dabovich added nine kills.
"Tarah played her best match of the season against Chadron," MSU coach Travis Ward said in a press release. "She deserves a lot of credit for making plays."
MSU struggled against Northern State, falling behind early in each set en route to the sweep.
Senior middle hitter Shari Hewson and freshman outside hitter Samantha Ziola-Vega each contributed six kills to lead the Beavers.
MSU travels to play Valley City State University at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
