LEEDS Maxine Straabe, 88, Leeds, formerly of Churchs Ferry, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, in a Fargo palliative care center.
She was born July 15, 1924, to Oscar and Selma Mickelson, in York. She married Thorvald Straabe on Feb. 20, 1941, in Churchs Ferry.
Survivors: daughters, Judy Tompkins, of Brea, Calif., JoAnn Copeland, Starkweather, Diane Straabe and Candace Stave, both Leeds, Vicki Lingen, Cando, Dawn Christenson, Devils Lake, Jodi Straabe, Fargo; sons, Tyrone, Kalispell, Mont., Reid, of Raton, N.M., Hal, Yorba Linda, Calif., Barry, Broken Arrow, Okla., Miles, Mandan, Kyle, New Rockford, Ryan, Fargo; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Ardith Straabe, Leeds.
Memorial service: Monday, 10 a.m., Leeds Lutheran Church.
Burial: Leeds Lutheran Cemetery.
