Lucille H. Gallagher, 85, Minot, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, in a Minot hospital.
Lucille was born June 11, 1927, to Michael and Margaret Kostek, in Larson.
She grew up in the Noonan and Crosby area and attended school in Noonan and Ambrose. She graduated from Minot State Teachers College and taught in a one-room school house in Blooming Prairie Township, near Ambrose.
She married Joe Gallagher on Aug. 7, 1950, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Crosby. They lived in Crosby, Williston, Fargo and Minot.
Lucille was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.
She loved collecting dolls Pope John Paul II and Princess Diana were her favorites. She enjoyed ceramics, painting and crafts.
Those who shared in her life: husband, Joseph, Minot; sons, Mike (Mary) Gallagher, Halstad, Minn., Jeff (Lea) Gallagher, St. Cloud, Minn., Dan (Mary Jo) Gallagher, Sioux Falls, S.D., Randy (Kathy) Gallagher, Lisbon; daughter, Margaret (Tom) Peterson, Kenmare; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry (Gail) Kostek, Crosby. Numerous nieces, nephews and several cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 29, 10 a.m., at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Rosary and vigil service: Rosary recitation today, Aug. 28, at 6:15 p.m., followed by a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., both in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: Today, Aug. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
